Editorial policy
United Cycling Journal aims to make cycling and bicycle travel easier to think about, with careful language, clear distinctions and room for different kinds of ride. We do not promise certainty where a subject depends on conditions, experience or context.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication and separate established information from interpretation. We aim to explain comparisons fairly, define unfamiliar terms and avoid claims that a single choice is best for every rider or place. When a topic depends on local conditions or specialist knowledge, we say so rather than presenting a general article as a complete answer.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Paid placements, sponsored material and other partner content are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee an editorial mention, and editorial coverage does not imply an endorsement.
Corrections and illustrations
If something appears inaccurate or incomplete, readers can contact us with the article title and the passage in question. We review correction requests and make appropriate changes with clarity. Some illustrations on the site may be AI-generated; they are visual aids, not evidence of an actual location, product or event.
